1028: Sing ur Way home

2nd concert clip of the SMAP concert

when they sing their hit song Sekai no hitotsu dake no Hana 世界の一つだけの花~
yay!!

aniwayz..
i have decided to take pics of evening 淀屋橋Yodoyabashi Area when i pass by. basically my walk from the office to umeda will cover Chuo Ku 中央区 of Osaka -> Kitahama北浜ー>Yodoyabashi淀屋橋ー>Umeda梅田. This area is the shenton way area of Osaka, where most businesses/banks/securities firms are located (right along the river somemore haha) and it super reminds me of Singapore river. the photos are here:
Yodoyabashi Pics
and I'll be keeping this picture set updated nightly with the pics i take during that day's walk. :) i think this is one of my fav pics today:
turmulous clouds gathering

enjoy!

1027 utube

i like youtube.com!

there tons of videos with kimura takuya and even though they are so old, i don't mind watching. cos now i understand japanese! wahahaha! this is the most heart-wrenching one though:

when kimura takuya announced his wedding plans dunno how many years ago. it has eng subs, but his expressions was so agonizing i feel like crying too. (T.T)

i actually uploaded a small clip of wat i managed to take during the SMAP concert last year..

there are actually another 2 or 3 clips of the concert but the upload time is so slow i decided to upload only 1 clip per day ahah. but u can watch this first ;p the atmosphere there was electrifying!

1026 dumb blogger

blogger/gmail everything google related seems to be extremely slow tonight.
loading extremely extremely slowly.

after i walked from the office to umeda (20 min walk) yesterday, i realised i enjoyed the walk. the walk alone gave me a chance to see new places and to think. i guess when walking alone with music in my ears, my thoughts are the loudest amongst the noisy city. abit cliched hah. but true. i think i've partly grown used to the solitude. to spending evenings alone on weekdays, to go home and cook my dinner, to have my hair dry by 12midnite, to have the bed all to myself so that i can sleep properly without waking up at night or to wake up with a neckache in the morning or that i won't be woken up by someone watching the TV when i wanna sleep in somemore. ... -.- u noe.. if u got a comfortable routine, its pretty irritating when someone disrupts it.

but don't get me wrong. i love him still of cos. just that i guess u reach some point where u prefer to have ur own space after months of lovey dovey honeymoon.

so i walked home again today. but today's weather was so cold that my ears hurt. and it hurt so bad my eyes were watering and my head began spinning. i had to seek shelter in a convenience store. and even then my ears still hurt until i felt giddy. i had taken a different route from yesterday and it turned out to be wrong but i managed to navigate back to some familiar landmarks after wandering around by instinct for 15 min. :p but i managed to walk to umeda again today and i am pretty proud of myself. this move will save me money and give me some exercise.. i haven't done any exercise in a year liaoz. hmm just measured my weight today: 42.7kg, 17.7% fat level. pretty low.

reached Umeda at 7.20pm.. walked around looking at the spring fashion trends. in the end I bought a denim jacket. pretty expensive but a little reward for not having bought any clothes for 3 months i suppose. :) i think i need a pair of new heels too. i felt very unpretty with my tired face and my sneakers in the dept store, in this country where all the girls wore 3-inch heels and did nice make-up and hair no matter where or when you see them. (some wake up earlier & sleep later than their husbands to put on/remove makeup so that their husbands will never ever see their unmade faces ever.) and my hair was pretty messy i suppose, my fringe is just this stubborn cowlick after i cut it. haiz.

hmm . i'm not unhappy right now. I'm not happy either. not very sure why i'm in this void. no feelings?

aniway.. leaving u people with a video of 2 of my fav idols. together lei!! SMAP and Takeshi Kaneshiro!!

1025 midweek midweek

this is one of the games Capcom makes that i like better
Phoenix Wright Tokyo Game Show Trailer
Phoenix Wright is one of the games i enjoyed more. no killing no nothing, searching for clues to solve crimes, Phoenix Wright is a lawyer who has to save his clients from being sentenced to imprisonment. formerly designed for GBA, it was only sold in Japan as gyakuten saiban (逆転裁判)but the DS version has been localised and its sold both in US and Europe. the stories are pretty engrossing and i actually know the people whose voices are in the english version! hoho..

I'm playing with the face heritage site now.. and i got these results:(in chronological order, I've tried to upload my face with pics taken since last year..)

1024 new hair up

ok i finally took a pic of myself hehe..
not bad today right?

new hair style

I've also uploaded pictures from the ski trip at Yogo Berg..

Yogo Ski TRip

1023 Sakura

its almost sakura season again.

the flowers have already half-bloomed in tokyo and in osaka, i think some buds are appearing on the trees but it's still early. the weather here is still horrendously chilly and despite it being spring on the calendar already, i totally don't agree. what spring?! i am still shivering everyday while walking home and i have lost like 2-3kg this winter. argh..

on the bright side, i did my hair for only 10 thousand yen! went for a digital perm, and the curls really look like this:
img_long

of course i'm prettier than this girl hehe (#^-^#)

with my fringe abit shorter (above eyes) & thicker and the top abit more curly and volume. if i dun comb my hair and wear specs.. cannot make it.. haiz. but if i do some makeup and arrange the curls, actually look quite cute .. (i'm not consoling myself!) hmm abit like those little eurasian kids with cubby faces and curly locks plastered on their heads like dolls. hehe. but i do miss the straight hair. change of image i guess. no pics, cos haven had the chance to look nice enuff to take a pic and post it up yet...

was wavering btw straightening my hair and doing the perm (cos it seems like the trend in Japan and all the girls look so pretty after that.. ) then decided to do the perm just to try out since it only lasts for bout 2 months plus. if i do straightening, it will last for a year and i won't be able to try other new styles in between. and i think i prolly will colour my hair back to a little more brownish ? the black hair doesn't look good when my hair isn't straight.. think i looked the best last july (my hair haha):
IMG_3435
so will prolly go back to this colour again hmm.

ok.. enuff bout my hair.

bad quarrel with Ryo on thurday nite, bout the future again wat else. hmm but i guess its resolved (?) and spent the wkend together with me doing nothing and him studying/working. got a huge huge scare when i tot i lost my ring from okinawa.. its my only souvenir! but luckily, i tot i remembered hearing a "clink" sometime during the nite and his mom was able to recover it for me at the stairs at his place. phew.

seriously did nothing cos my mind is a big blank when i try to recall saturday. went supermarket in the evening together, had spaghetti for dinner.. and sunday i cooked fried noodles for lunch and we made beef stew together for dinner. 美味しかった!! haha. but i didn't realise beef stew took so much time to cook.. (at least 2 hours) even with the stew mix. the idea came from the crayon shinchan anime when i was watching tv & shinchan made the stew with his dad. hehe..

but anyway.. back to the workweek again. can't wait for the coming weekend. wahah . nothing happening in particular.. but erm.. well no need to go to work mah ahha

1022 friday again

friday again.

i'm looking at the calendar and after 16 more fridays, I will be back in Singapore again. so fast huh. which means only 16 more weeks? wow. last year the end seemed so far away but now it seems to be rushing up to me like an express train. i dun wan!! i want time to stop!! ok la. not realli. i want time to stop at when i was in okinawa, not on a friday evening 5 min b4 work ends. i think that could be a torture in hell, put the slacker in the part of hell where its forever looping the last five minutes till the end of work. eternal suffering. so near and yet never getting to leave work. sadistic huh.

although after i come up with such thoughts i will also be thinking, is this wat we are supposed to do? randomly at some point in your life come up with your worst nightmare, and then as a cruel joke, God or some higher being will put u there after death. u can't complain, since you came up with the scenario yourself. hmmm. but to counter that.. don't ever think of your worst nightmares, think of all these "great" situations you will enjoy after death. heh. then i guess there is a less chance of being sent to the torture chambers that you will enjoy huh. hoho.

1021 buckets of tears

i realise that as i watched Pride, i cried on an average of at least once per 2 episodes. :(

i think i was in the loo when i rented the dvd and when i was supposed to be watching the episode when haru & aki did it. it was soooo sweet. but i didn't realise the damn boyfriend is Natsu until he mentioned it. (natsu is summer in jap by the way..) love triangle btw 春、秋、夏.. grrr. damn natsu!! come out and spoil the perfect couple! if i have a kid next time i am going to name him takuya or haru. hohoho! Takuya Tanaka sounds not bad hor? hehehe

had lunch with the EDB guy yesterday. all the trainees too. hmm. not very positive outlook. didn't seem to know anything. ... i shall make my own plans liao.

1020 aching buttocks

today is the 春分の日 holiday here in japan, the land of many public hoidays with weird names.

ok this is actually not so weird, in english, its known as the spring equinox day but i think Japan is one of the few countries that made it a public holiday. the weird holidays would be 海の日、day for the elderly etc. those ... i dun really see the meaning.

so i woke up at 5.15am today when ryo called. i was supposed to have woken him up at 4.45 am for the ski trip when i woke up in case he overslept but instead i overslept and when i didN't call him when i said i would, he knew that i needed some waking up. i would have woken up on time if i hadn't started watching pride last night on my PC which had Eng subtitles and with eng subs and improved jap from half a year ago, the light dawned on me for many many parts of the show and it was difficult to stop watching once i had started. -.-

but anyway.. today went to a place called Yogo Berg. reminds me of Yogi Bear. -.- but Yogo is a city name in Shiga prefecture. and the weather conditions were shitty. cloudy first, then slate. (is that wat u call a rain when its ice instead of water but not big enuff to be hail?) then heavy rain. then slate. and the snow on the ground was more like ice le. the ski trails were oni bout 300 m i suppose. can finish the slope in 1-2 min. ... not like hokkaido. humph! lesson learnt today: nv ski on icy snow. it hurts like shit when u fall and the snow is actually quite dirty. and that it is more slippery than snowy so the ski-ing was harder to control compared to real snow. haiz. i miss hokkaido... so i fell a few times near to the end when i was tired and sprained my wrist which has become slightly swollen. and a big bruise on my butt cos there was a slope they labeled as beginner's slope so ryo persuaded me to go with him since it was longer than the front end beginner's slope. so i went.. it was ok at the beginning. then suddenly, as we went round a curve, the trail become a steep drop of almost 60 degrees. cautiously stepping to the edge of it, i saw casualties littering the slope, all victims. some kids were even crying after having fallen for like the 5th time within the short dist of the 20m steep trail. i decided i was too chicken to attempt this and precariously took off my skis. plonked my butt with the skis across my knees and slid the whole way down. at least 50-60m i think. due to the steepest part curving to another steep part which was hidden from view. argh. end of the ride, butt burning from the sliding, butt aching from the sliding and butt drenched from the sliding. was so tired & i think i was having cramps so i slept the whole way back in the car.

pictures will be up soon, back to work tomorrow... nitez!

1019 okinawa pics

have uploaded most of the pics.. except for the last few of him/him with me since those are private anyway.. haven't labeled them yet.. but feel free to look..

the Okinawa pics

there's quite a ton of them so please be patient..

but end of it.. i would say i love okinawa and if i had the chance to i would stay there. the lazy island life.. the proximity to so many natural wonders and the beautiful beaches and the breezy warm weather. haiz. it was very depressing to come back to a colder than b4 osaka.

guess where i am now

i am at hotel grand mer now..

that means large sea hotel..

and i can see the sea from my room because it's on the 9th floor..

and if u still can't tell where i am, i'll tell u.

i'M in OKINAWA!! 沖縄!

hehe.. ok la.. i guess its not that exciting but have always wanted to see the beautiful beaches and experience the culture/weather here after watching beach boys (the jap drama). The weather is a very very welcome change after the winter ( i think its still winter) and its bout 24 degrees here on the sunny day. the only way you can tell its still winter is that the wind is super strong and chilly (when it blows) and it keeps raining every 2 days. those humongous showers. pity. I have seen the beaches though.. and waded in the waters of this beautiful place. wahahaha!! so happy! have picked some shells for keepsakes, and they have this humongous 3-block sized DFS Galleria that applies to domestic travellors! have gone wild shopping there, mainly face products since it is like at least 20% cheaper from mainland jApan. woohoo!! so happy...

have been here for 3 days.. tomorrow going to the beach one last time in the morning and then going home to cold dreary osaka again (T.T) bleah!!! unwilling to go because here is warmer and the place reminds me of Singapore so much. so much US food, so much fatty pig's legs cuisine.. i had tacos for dinner today and thai food for dinner last night. yummmy! and i took so many photos i had to buy another 256MB memory card here.. which was a very difficult thing to do because this place has no electronics shop apparently.. had to drive around until i reach those big hypermarts and buy from there. (o.O) and there's pao pao cha here! (bobo/pearl milk tea!) the brand is Quickly.. what we have in SG too! but of cos the price is 300 yen (bout $5?) so haha.. not worth drinking..

will post up picts tomorrow or monday i think.. look out for them!

1017 meanie me

actually wrote something in the office today to be put up but its pretty mean so i shall only blog it when i realli feel super duper pissed off at the trainees.

today was White Day! think this is unique to japan, where guys gave girls gifts in return for having received something on Valentine's Day. most guys reciprocate with chocolates, some guys splurge on handkerchiefs (i dun understand that) or jewellery. i received 3 gifts today. this year is much much better than last year, when i received nothing. wahaha. so i received a box of cookies from Tze Wei, one of the trainees, a box of something from my ex-team leader Matsuzawa-san, something to eat but i couldn't bear to open it because the box was tied up sooooo nicely.

from 松澤T-長
Ryo gave me a box of pralines from he bought from Tokyo yesterday, made by a German confectionery and i haven't took a picture of it yet but it looks great too! yay!

i went to buy vitamin b-12s from the pharmacy today. the pain was really alleviated when the doctor gave me those last week, so maybe i really am suffering from a deficiency. hmmm....

i went to find a pair of drawstring berms/pants today and i couldn't find any. they dun seem to sell it in japan at all! i want those kind with elastic and the string and kinda translucent and flimsy and will cling to my figure type. not the thick kind that will make my butt look big and shapeless and my legs look very thin. i was trying on tailored shorts in Zara but i couldn't wear those kind cos my thighs were tooo thin! ... ironic how i'm suffocating in jeans but these things i really wanna wear make my legs look like sticks. grrrr....

am taking a look at the business japanese certifications now.they actually don't look that difficult and i believe with a little hard work i could possibly pass it. hmmm....

attitude Problem

me? i dun think i have attitude problem.

some people have though.

i dun understand why the other trainees dun seem worried that we might have no jobs when we go back. or why he doesn't seem to worry about how we are going to communicate when i go back. everything so uncertain. i dun like.

but wkend was spent indoors. it was raining. i think the other trainees went snowboarding but i didn't go. didn't want to. they are not considerate of others when they tour. if i hungry and they are not, they wont care bout me and just say they are not hungry. i tot it was just me but they also did that to grace. so of cos i dun wan to join them animore. would rather go touring with a loving bf who will take care of me and not bochup me. aniway, places i want to go is always last, its always those places they wanna go first. and its always damn boring la. all scenery & cultural places. places u have to trapse around, trek to or wat. tiring.

aniway... next week going somewhere else to tour with ryo. will upload photos after that. zzoboed in the room this whole wkend, cooked meesiam for sat's lunch and pancakes for today. had korean pot 鍋料理 チジミ (chijimi?) last nite for dinner with him and we are trying to cook oden tonight. hah. hopefully that turns out well..

1015: going into vegetative mode

how strange.

after i left the comment on my tagboard last night about how there hasn't been any Kimura Takuya magazine covers in months, immediately this morning, there appeared one on the newstand.

Men's Non-No or something. men's fashion magazine. don't worry jac, i bought for u liaoz! looked thru it and the pictures of him were pretty delicious..

(^-^)v

its really hard to wake up when i'm alone even though i wake up much later than when i stayed over at his place. and i sleep earlier oso. really dun understand why. with him, i am forced to wake up at 6.40am and i managed to get ready by 7.15am? make up done and all. but in my room, i can't wake up until 7.20am sometimes and i have to rush to get ready by 7.41am else i'll miss my favourite train. (with lots of space to stand and no need to get touched by disgusting men and i can play my PSP or NDS)

the only days when i can get ready on time is if i wake up at 6.40am to cook my lunch. it actually doesn't take much time to prepare lunch in the morning, contrary to wat most people think. wake up at 6.40am, put the rice in the rice cooker immediately. put the pan on the stove at full heat to heat it while i go toilet and wash up. after washing up, come out put oil in the pan to heat. in the meantime, look in the fridge and see wat there is to cook. and conjure up some menu with the ingredients. after bout 2 min, if wan to cook vegetables, wash and pluck and throw in pan immediately. if meat, wash and put in pan immediately. add salt. let it simmer. see got wat other ingredients. after bout 5 min, add other seasoning. and stir fry abit. and throw in more ingredients. if water needed, add some water. simmer abit, stir fry abit, if no smell add more seasoning. usually I'll add soy sauce, oyster sauce or black vinegar. and some sauce with chopped chilli & garlic inside. hehe. but anyway, first dish is usually done in 15 min at most, latest by 7.00am? then i'll just fry an egg with the leftover oil and leave it to cook while i wash face. by 7.05am everything done, rice oso done, put in lunch box, and then leave it while i change and put on make up. my make up is done by 7.33am (i started at 7.20am) so still have some time to pack my bag and the lunchboxes. (^-^) very fast right? and more healthy and more to my taste too. save money as well. wahaha

三八婦女節~

today right? international women's day.

why they chose this date to be the women's day?! very mean lei. i'm sure its some MCP who chose this date. to make a joke out of all women. okie la.. i dun care one way or another. i am neither 三八 nor a 婦女 . so i am still safe from the day.

my colleague in Mixi (the jap frenster thing) said that everyone around her seemed to be getting married. cousins, colleagues, frens. well.. i would think its natural, given that she's already 28.. but then she's still single, no bf even.. maybe still enjoying singlehood bah.

i dun think i am the type to be a swinging single party girl. i dun have that many close frens to start with (the image of the party girl who's happy single is always the kind that has many very close gal pals she hangs out with).. and i prefer just concentrating & focusing my energy & effort on 1 person at a time. the only group outings that i really enjoy are the ones with the sixoneders. but other than that, group outings really drain me. there's no focus, everyone seem to be fighting to get their opinion heard, and the conversation is very superficial most of the time. and there are usually people that u can't stand in group outings as well and to prevent offending anyone, (or from accidentally saying something mean to the person u dislike) its usually best to not speak too much at such gatherings. for me at least. so in the end, these outings become an outing where i am listening to other people blabber and me thinking in my head when will this end and trying not to look bored. :x at least 1-to-1 outings, the 1 person u go out with, is confirmed someone u wan to hang out with, be it ur best fren, ur boyfren, ur good fren or just a long time no see pal. well.. if i jio u out means i enjoy ur company alot lor.. (^-^) life is short.. no time to waste on entertaining or hanging out with people u don't enjoy spending time with ね~

lookin forward to sg food again at least for the week. going to spend more time with my family this time round. since i prolly be away for the rest of my life after the bond.. even though its not for another 2 months yet.. can't help but start planning all the activities & food i'm gonna do and eat liaoz!

退屈な月曜日

boring monday. did nothing at work. cos i finished my work on friday.

surfed net whole day, joined the jap equivalent of frenster. mixi.jp however, this site can only join by invite only. n the main difference with frenster is that people tend not to put their real photo. usually people put their pets, put manga art.. anything but themselves. as compared to frenster, everyone dun like to hiao themselves on this mixi site. jap culture 果然~

sleepy ah. woke up at 5.30am this morning? i think. cos ryo had to go bizness trip today again so i had to vacate the house when he did too. (T.T)

weekend over

sianz ah.. weekend so fast over liao. caught the flu bug this weekend, spent most of yesterday and today sleeping. i actually napped from 1pm - 6pm after lunch yesterday. then woke up to have dinner and then fell asleep at midnite again. must have been pretty sick if i was that drowsy. but i didn't take any medicine... think i better take a pill later.

went back to my room to clean up abit, and there was soo much laundry accumulated from 2 weeks its unbelievable. vacuumed up a ton of dust, still have tons of dishes undone. yuck. haiz. but thats cos i havent been back for a week what.. been concentrating on my どうぶつの森 game and i guess thats going to take a while to finish. i been readingthe English version (Animal Crossing: wild World)'s FAQ and i quite gian to buy the english one too cos i would understand the contents of that at least and the jokes/puns would make sense. grrr. currently i'm playing based on word recognition, rather than really knowing what are the items i receive. or what the characters are really trying to say to me. hah.

1011 - the one with the last minute work

my boss has taken to giving me new work instructions at 5.00pm almost everyday recently.

Not only is it irritating, the inconsideration of the whole thing totally pisses me off. when i have had nothing to do the whole day and you only turn around at 5pm to give me new work when people are almost knocking off. then by that u force me to stay until 7pm _ ? when i could have completed the work asap in the day.

and i'm stuck comparing 2 disgusting worksheets to find out why the numbers dun match. WHY WHY WHY!? i've compared every single column, all the numbers correct wor.. why the sum dun match!! :X

and after 2 hours and all methods of comparison, i've realised its tokyo's idiotic person's fault again. copy and paste cannot even copy right! the number wasn't calculated into the total because of them changing the heading. wah liu!!!!

pekchek.. but at least its friday again!
